My son pretending to be a passenger biding his time reading the paper. I don't know how these chairs were attached, if at all, they seem to have been sitting freely.
Riding the Rails. My son sitting in an open box car. All that was missing was a banjo and a small fire.
Can you say, "king of the tank car"! We were walking along side the cars when all the sudden I look up and he was standing on top.
And before I could say, "hey there might be some toxic chemical in there", he was peering in. Turned out to be completely empty; it was a new looking car so maybe it hadn't been used yet.
We climbed on top of this box tanker and I took a shot looking down the many lids as far as the eye could see.
My son walking between cars looking for one we could get in and explore.
Another passenger car with the chairs sitting but not attached to the floor. Can't imagine what a sudden stop would have done. This one had this smiley face on the chair and side of the car, again, I'm not sure why.
Think back to when they thought all computers would crash at 12AM Jan 1st 2000. It's quite a joke now.
This paper was dated Saturday, March 18, 2000. It was lying on a seat probably right where the passanger left it the last ride for the train.
This was the tops of the tankers my son had climbed on. He told me it was a great view so I had to find out for myself.
Brake wheel on a brand new tanker.
This brake wheel was on a passenger car. I took this with my old Kodak P&S.
