Former Dice's Tire Shop now abandoned, and to be torn down to make way for a Home Depot store.
Sales office for tire shop.
One of several offices above sales shop. Open hatch could only have been used for discruntled employees.
Office restroom door with sign to request workers turn lights off after use. Someone had to add their own interpretation to it.
Bay where anything from passanger cars to tractor trailer trucks could get new tires put on. As kids we used go buy old truck tubes from here and use them to float down the local stream.
Shop forman's desk no doubt. Everything was just left how it was the last day other then pilferer's ransacking the place.
Dice's also did retreading of tires called Bandag, and this was where it all took place.
Once again, all the retreads just left where they lay.
This was the storage area for the retreads, tire etc.
Sign of Bandag on a machine used to grind the old tread off the tire before the process of bonding new treads on. The pieces of tires off trucks you see along the highway comes from this process after it wears off.
I assumed these were barrels of the glue used to heat bond the new treads on the tires.
An old garage door that was permanently in the up position. Several left thier mark on.
Door on left goes into sales office. I was standing in the truck bay.
Truck bay showing deteriation.
An old machine used I beleive to balance tires.
Someone no doubt was a Cowboy's fan. Yea, go Cowboy's!
Obviously this tire laid here for a while. The tree was growing up through the tire and looked to be 10 or more years in growth.
Brand new home built by the late Mrs. Dice only 10 years ago now sitting empty. Only the furniture was removed, everything else remains.
Another view showing how the good stuff must have been taken and everything else just left.
This part of the kitchen was actually behind the part in previous picture.
Brand new spa tube and shower, probably only used a very short time, now will be demolished with the house to make way for Home Depot.
Here is Mrs. Dice's closet with all her cloths, shoes etc. still where she placed them.
Old photo lying in the living room. Must be Mr. Dice with a grandchild. Baby looks huge.
This is the guest house/pool house. This was used by family and friends. This too will be demolished for Home Depot.
This is the pool just outside the pool house. Cover looks almost new.
Fence and walkway around pool.
Small horse barn Dice's had on propety.
Abandoned tires left laying in the field.
